What is botnets?.

Botnets means large number of interconnected devices. botnets generally using for DDOS Denial of service attack, spamming fake advertising, earning. Actually botnet are mixture of robot and network. it can be controlled on by owner . this is malicious and worm.
It is spread by communication channel. Http protocol easy to spread any botnet 

Sometime botnet connected peer to peer network so network protocol is also responsible for spreading.
