android and linux file structure

What is differnt between android and Kernal linux file structure?

Today Mobile phone is the primary things of our life. today you can't live one days without phone. but you know how android works what is the file structure inside the mobile and what is diiferent between linux and android.

Android is almost same as linux *nix operating system. As you know android is also os it is developed by google. its file structure same as *nix os. 

Linux is a Unix-like operating system that was designed to provide personal computer users a free or very low-cost operating system comparable to traditional and usually more expensive Unix systems. Linux has a reputation as a very efficient and fast-performing system. Linux's kernel (the central part of the operating system) was developed by Linus Torvalds at the University of Helsinki in Finland. To complete the operating system, Torvalds and other team members made use of system components developed by members of the Free Software Foundation for the GNU Project 



Android is a framework framework means a set of API's that allow developers to quickly and easily write apps for android phones. It consists of tools for designing UIs like buttons, text fields, image panes, and system tools like intents (for starting other apps/activities or opening files), phone controls, media players, ect. Essentially an android app consists of Activities (programs that the user interacts with), services (programs that run in the background or provide some function to other apps), and broadcast receivers (programs that catch information important to your app)




File structure

Almost Android and linux file structure are same Android is  A daemon process means it is a long-running background process that answers requests for services. The term originated with Unix, but most operating systems use daemon in some form or another. In Unix, the names of daemon conventionally end in "d". Some examples include inetd , httpd.

Its another main terms is dalvik virtual machine(VM) dalvik is the dicontinued process that execute application written for os it is in .dex files its written in java it is use in android, smart tv.

Both files structure are same you access root directory in mobile help of king root then all bin etc proc all files are as linux files but different is here android is daimon process so all files like a httpd dhcpd etc.
